So it's 5am in LA and i should be asleep.
I can't sleep because the thought of the things that have transpired over the last 2 weeks amaze me.
I can't sleep because the thought of what comes next inspires me!
People say when you reach the first step on your climb up your dreams, it sneaks up on you unexpectedly.
So very true.
I knew months ago that i was going to be coming to LA, i knew months ago that Steve-O agreed to star in my music video, i knew months ago that the founder of SMP films was going to promote and produce my music video but even so, everything that has just happened still caught me by surprise.
Things just blew up, in one day, then twice as much the next and it has been a rapid progression every day since.
Yesterday i found my songs and lyrics on a spanish website, then found a fan page on a brazilian version of Facebook. I don't know what it says because it's all written in portuguese but my name's on there, Projected Twin's on there and it's fucking INSANE.
Letters, e-mails, messages, subscribers and sales have been coming in by the thousand all over the world.
Most people would relax and let it all go from here, but i can't. I know that this isn't it yet, i know that this isn't fame, it's not success, it's nothing but a preview for me to glimpse at. It's now that I'm faced with the choice: Commit and jump or pat myself on the back and call it a day.
Well fuck that. I'm taking this ball and I'm running with it.
It may go quiet here and there, but rest assured that if you aren't hearing from me, it's because I'm busting my arse doing something that's going to pay off later.
So wish me luck, check it out if you haven't already and wish me luck.
Because one way or another; I'll see you all on the other side!

Well, boys and girls.
It's getting really close to that time of releases, celebrations and production schedules!
March First i head into the studio for one whole month recording the full length album to follow up the (very) soon to be released single 'We Know It's True' on iTunes, Napster, Amazon, CD-baby and many more.
Also, i have something really cool to show you.
I'm really excited and honored to announce that the Art for the album is being taken care of by one of the most talented digital artists/photographers i've seen floating around, Renee Boyce of .this is epic
Renee will be doing several pieces for the album artwork and has also created the digital cover for the release of the single 'We know it's true' which you'll be able to see on all major digital retailers.
She's incredible and just to prove it, check out the single cover below!
So you can look forward to seeing more of her stuff as the album comes together throughout the year :)

XPM are the talented bunch who run the studio that the single and album have and will be produced in throughout March!

I didn't have a bad day today, by any stretch.
I made a video that i think is pretty funny, i only had to be at work for half the time i normally would be and nothing happened to me that would make me want to bitch about something. So i guess what i'm trying to say is that none of this is meant to be a 'SO THERE'.
After two years of being a full time working cover musician, i have no found myself again working in the customer service industry while i work on my original music (Cause it doesn't exactly rake in the dollies).
Coming from a lifestyle that's been a little bit different hasn't been a hard adjustment.
Like i honestly thought, Fuck man, i could NEVER go back and work a retail job again, people PISS me off too much and i would lose my mind.
Wrong.
All that it has done, is equip me with a very logical and balanced 'Give-a-shit-o-meter'
that i can take to the service counter with me, armed and ready to serve the public with.
You see, people believe that because you have a name badge on and you work for a company that has a history of screwing up people's phone bills, screwing their appointments, fucking up their connections, over-charging and just all around douche-ness. That they then have the right to treat you like YOU personally did this to them.
I can sympathize with some, they really are getting fucked around with.
But there is a SPECIAL breed of person, who actually doesn't have a problem, their bill is fine, their service works great, they might not even be signed up yet and are simply enquiring about the chance they MIGHT.
This special breed of person wakes up in the morning and decides that anyone who greats them with the words 'How may i help you today', OBVIOUSLY is less human then they are and therefore they can talk to them like pups and dog obedience, armed with a rolled up news paper and a scowl in the artillery.
Years ago, before i hung out of the sliding doors of military choppers, lived through a cyclone in the middle east, surrounded myself with people who earn a dollar an hour and couldn't even hold hands with my girlfriend in public, i might have been rattled by people like that.
Now?
I just don't... give.... a..... Fuck.
I don't give a shit who i work for and how much money you have foolishly decided or been forced into paying a company who's motive is splashed across my bright orange sweater.
I'm the same fucken person you are and what part of you woke up and said 'today i'm going to be a c*nt to a complete stranger'.
People, don't fuck with the people who serve you.
We control your phone bills, we make your food, we can turn your gas off and we can sure as fuck feel good about it too.
So there you are.
Be you, and expect the same treatment you would when the uniform is off. Because fuck, does it REALLY matter?

So it's been a little bit since i've updated.
here's a quick recap
-The single sounds rad and is being mastered on January 19th.
-The first Live PT gig is on February 14th at the Rhino Room.(Adelaide)
Acoustic/Slash 'Different' so expect some kool shiz and some guests.
-The album starts being tracked in March.
-The band will be heading your way June/July
Anyway, that's the brief overview.
Just wanna let you know that the single sounds incredible.
We've recorded a bunch of stuff, deleted a bunch of stuff, recorded a bunch of stuff again, then hated it, then done it again, liked bits of it, and now finally, we've HIT it and it's gonna work the way we wanted it to.
So expect to be able to grab it from iTunes and other online retailers by the end of Jan

| PT Goes Live |

On February 14th 2008 Projected Twin will be hitting the stage for the first time.
I'll be going unplugged, showcasing some of the material that you can expect to hear on the album! Live @ the Rhino Room. As well some older favorites that friends miiiiight remember from other things i've done (if they strain their memories hard enough)
Speaking of the album, If you've been to the Projected Twin myspace lately, you would have seen a bunch of dates through March where i've been penned in to track the album!
I'll be tracking and producing the record with my new musical life-partners Xplosion Proof Motor in their studio up the top of the Adelaide Hills.
This is really exciting stuff. They are a pleasure to work with and are completely an organic extension of the music that has shaped up to be the album thus far.
I've also received a high volume of interest from talented guitarists in my search for musicians to help me make this music a live reality. I'll be spending time with a bunch of them over the next few weeks.
So full band gigs will not be far around the corner of February's Acoustic preview :)
I've also been working with some really talented youngsters in a group called 'Sleeping Village'
The maturity and musicianship of these guys is endlessly impressive, so expect to see some substantial movement coming from their direction in the near future.

To all my friends in The States, Canada, Europe and the U.A.E. that have been writing words of encouragement, i'll be v'logging the live album preview, so you'll be able to see the best parts from the night too!

Alternative/Experimental/Rock band 'Projected Twin' needs a 2nd live Guitarist to assist on stage with reproducing PT's songs in a live setting.
A single is being released internationally Mid/late December in anticipation of a full length Album being tracked during March/May and released in mid 2009.
With over 2 years of international touring experience, I'm looking to create a genuine opportunity for PT and the people who become and have already become a part of it.
What PT needs from a guitarist is:
*Someone who can take direction as well as be creative.
*Someone who can play lead as well as pull it back and just add colour
*Someone with an ear for hearing and picking out parts
*Someone with a good ear for and control of their tone

It's 12:54 am and even though i know I'm meant to get up early tomorrow morning and need all the energy i have to get through what's in store, i just can't shut the MacBook, turn out the light, snuggle up and sleep.
It's starting to become a pretty exciting time right now.
PT's at the cusp of making the first of several serious statements to come.
The first Studio track is just about done and i can't express my surprise, pleasure and emotions about how good it sounds.
With the help of two incredible producers: Cat Johns + Chris Lau of 'XPM Productions'
We've developed the bench mark and starting block of what to expect from Projected Twin from this point on.
It's hard enough to find a studio that produces a sound you want to put your name to and it's even harder to find people inside it's walls that click in with what you imagined, intended and hoped for as well as these guys.
The production in this song has completely blown away my ambitions and turned them into respect for what i've created, just by being in the right head-space and most importantly, the right environment.
As if that wasn't enough, i've also been lucky enough to gain the help of Cory Williams, the YouTube Titan of SMP Films to Film and direct the music video for the single.
With over 100,000 subscribers, Millions (times over) of views and partnership with YouTube themselves to his name, this collaboration is going to put PT in the faces of a much larger audience and i couldn't be more ecstatic about that!!!
Now, why do i need to sleep? Why do i need to be up early tomorrow???
Because tomorrow (today really)
Is the FIRST get together of the (currently modest) incarnation of Projected Twin 'The band'
We'll be running through 'Shark Water' and "???The Single???" tomorrow and getting our first legs as a 'unit' (hehe, i said Unit)
What else..
Yeah, so, The Album is written, done, needs a slight spit polish and currently is scheduled to start tracking in March next year! (Once Cat and Chris complete their band 'Temple Tigers'' Debut album)

The Temple Tigers have become my new favourite Australian band, so PLEASE check them out and if you think you dig their sound from what you hear on their myspace page, you wait till you hear the stuff they are working on now.
I can honestly say that there is nothing else out here, doing what they're doing.
You gotta hear it to believe it!

Today was an inspirational day for the world.
We now know that we live in a world where any being that believes in their own power, can achieve anything.
100 years ago no one would have aver thought that a person with colored skin would be the leader of the free world.
Today, the world knows otherwise.
We have all been lucky enough to witness a part of history that will be remembered for the rest of humanity to come.
It takes one person to make a difference.
This experience has left me asking myself about the difference i will make.
I hope that it inspires others too.
Change is here, the time is now and it couldn't be more liberating.

1:50 am and i can't sleep.
I'm tired, i need to sleep, i want to be asleep but i'm just too excited.
My mind is humming tunes to me, my thoughts are painting the future. I'm way too excited.
Everything just falls into place.
Today i am so very happy. Tomorrow will be the same.
Taking control of your life is so therapeutic.
The next couple of years are going to be so incredible.
I feel this constant feeling, under all my emotions, my thoughts and doubts, that everything is just falling into place.
I see the path and I'm on it. I will do it all.
I'm just ready. I know i am.
I tend to make light of it all but the last 5 years for me have been such a huge roller coaster ride of an adventure. Experience becomes wisdom. You are aged by the experiences you live and lessons learned. I have seen some incredible shit. Stuff i never would have dreamed I would see.
Now that i'm back home I could have fell back into my rut, my chain reaction of failures. There are many more failures to come, life is full of them. But the achievements from here on out are far more valuable.
It's just so obvious to me.
It's been a long time since i lay awake because i can't tame my own excitement.
I love my life.
